A 54-year-old secondary-school teacher in Gryfów Śląski, Lower Silesia, has been charged with allegedly subjecting underage pupils to physical and psychological abuse.

According to prosecutors, the alleged conduct took place between September 2023 and November 2025. Investigators say the teacher, who was also a class tutor, allegedly humiliated pupils, used insulting and sexually suggestive language, and violated their physical boundaries.

Suspended while the case continues

Prosecutors say testimony includes allegations of grabbing pupils by their clothes, wrists and hips, and touching their buttocks. The man denies the charge and declined to give an explanation. He has been suspended from teaching while criminal proceedings continue.

The charge carries a possible sentence of three months to five years in prison if he is convicted. No conviction has been reported.

Schools should be places where children feel safe enough to learn. These are serious allegations — and they deserve a thorough investigation, not a trial by social media.
