Pierogi are hardly difficult to find in Wrocław, so if you’re going to open a place dedicated to them, you’d better have something up your sleeve. We went in to speak to the owners, expecting the Polish classics and ended up going considerably further down the menu.

These guys clearly aren’t afraid of upsetting the pierogi purists — alongside the traditional fillings you’ll find combinations involving duck and cranberry, veal with chanterelles, salmon and feta, and plenty more.

But the one that caught our attention? Pear and blue cheese pierogi, served with honey butter and toasted nuts and the black salmon and feta cheese!

Sounds wrong. Tastes very, very right. There’s something we like about a kitchen taking one of Poland’s most sacred comfort foods and having a bit of fun with it.
Traditional? Sort of. Boring? Definitely not. Highly recommended!
