Piece of k8 isn’t just a clothing store. It feels more like a creative space built around personal style, conversation, and finding pieces that actually mean something. We sat down with founder K8 to talk fashion, confidence, and why buying less can sometimes say more.

First things first… who is K8?
I never came from fashion retail. I studied French Philology and worked as a purchasing manager in fast fashion. But my love for art, design, and style eventually led me here.
Piece of k8 feels more like someone’s apartment than a shop. Was that intentional?
Absolutely. I always imagined a space where people could meet, talk, and connect. Fashion became the natural part of that idea.
Do you sell clothes… or confidence?
Clothes are just the excuse. The real goal is helping people discover confidence and their own style. Fast fashion says “buy more.” You seem to say “buy better.”

Do people understand that?
I try to show customers why quality matters and why fewer, better pieces are a smarter choice
How do you decide what makes it into piece of k8?
At first it was instinct and personal taste. After nine years, I know my customers and what works for them.
Who are your customers really?
People who are bored of looking like everyone else. They want to explore their style and try something different.
Have you ever stopped someone from buying something?
Many times! Sometimes the best service is telling someone something simply isn’t right for them.
If you could steal one person’s wardrobe, whose would it be?
Tilda Swinton. Her style is incredible.

What inspires you outside fashion?
Art, architecture, photography, travel, and watching people on the streets. Everything creates new ideas.
If piece of k8 had a personality?
Slightly rebellious, elegant, and with an edgy twist.
Final question: what should people chase instead of trends?
Style. Trends disappear, but pieces that match your personality stay with you.
